who i am

I live in Austin, Texas where I am a data engineer at StoredIQ. I was a graduate student in the department of Linguistics and a member of the UT Computational Linguistics Lab at the University of Texas, and graduated (yay!) in August 2011. 

My interests in Linguistics include computational linguistics & natural language processing, machine learning, dependency parsing, distributional models of word-meaning, categorial grammar, parsing, parser induction, natural language semantics, and (of late) Big Data, eDiscovery, and NLP for information retrieval. Outside of the academe, my primary interest is being a dad.
